FMLA and ADA: Managing Leaves Does Not Need to be (that) Complicated

Recorded Session
60 Minutes

Leave management under federal law can be confusing. Some well-meaning employers handle FMLA and ADA leaves with the same forms and a single process, but the two laws have different details and requirements and must be administered separately.

This 60-minute FMLA and ADA training defines the coverage and obligations under each law, explains situations in which both apply, and gives guidelines for managing employees under either or both.

You'll learn five critical steps for administering FMLA and the watch-outs for leave and accommodation requests, including those related to COVID-19. It is useful if you're new to leave management or your company is nearing 50 employees.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

Knowing the FMLA and ADA rules in advance lets you build a process before a request arrives rather than improvising. This session gives you the information and confidence to do that.

It is especially helpful for non-HR leaders who receive requests for leave, accommodation or time off for health reasons, as well as HR professionals at all levels and small and mid-size business owners.
